Campaigns

Upsurge campaigns turn storefront context into customer-facing experiences. All campaign types are site-scoped and share a draft-to-active lifecycle, but they render and measure different outcomes.

Choose a campaign

Shared lifecycle

  • Draft — editable but not eligible for public configuration.
  • Active — eligible when the site, target, trigger, and runtime conditions match.
  • Paused — retained but not served.
  • Archived — removed from ordinary active work; duplication creates a new draft.

Publishing a campaign does not bypass runtime targeting. Always test on the exact site, URL, and device conditions that the active campaign expects.

Launch standard

  1. Confirm the site SDK and baseline events.
  2. Create from a template or blank configuration.
  3. Define content, runtime behavior, and a single primary goal.
  4. Narrow targeting intentionally; estimate reach when intent activation is used.
  5. Preview desktop and mobile behavior.
  6. Activate the campaign.
  7. Verify the public config request and first lifecycle event.
  8. Measure with a visible attribution scope in Analytics.
Start narrow

Launch to one site and a small, explainable audience before layering page, device, location, intent, profile, and trigger conditions together.
